I removed mine recently. It was rattling and annoying me. Turns out it rattled because I only had half of it.

I remember reading that. I think I’ve got all of mine or a good 90%. I will attempt to repair and if that doesn’t work I will remove it.

Be sure to check, I thought I had all of mine. Then I dropped the driveshaft and realized I didnt.

hence the “nearly”. If it was gone already I’d have said “merely”. Regardless, if it can’t be fixed it’ll probably be just fine & you’ll have a new feature to brag about.

Sorry I read it as merely. I’m sure it can be fixed but will I take the effort is the real question.
